We are honored to announce that we have a new board member, Butch Allen! Butch has decades of experience as an FBI specialist and investigator for the Fulton County, GA, public defenders’ office. He was inspired to get involved by our July exhibit in Universal City. Welcome, Butch!
Cheryl and I have been learning a lot and putting together a program plan for our dream of Justice Is For Everyone educational programs as part of our BRIDGE Incubator 5 Cohort. We have weekly coaching with our coordinator, Roseangela Hartford. We just completed the second webinar out of four. We have half of our program plan due by the end of the month to receive our first $2500. This nonprofit incubator intensive goes through the final in-person retreat the weekend before Thanksgiving.
UPCOMING EVENT: Please join us on Friday, 9/19 from 5-8 p.m. at the Slim Chickens at 909 Roy Richard Dr./FM 3009 in Schertz to raise money for our sisters and upcoming educational programming. The restaurant will donate a portion of the proceeds to us. Weather permitting, we will table by the front entrance. I’ve attached our flyer for you to share. Stay tuned!
